Today at the Paris Motor Show, BMW unveiled the new BMW 6 Series Coupe Concept. The 2+2 coupe inherits some design cues from the regrettable CS Concept and it aligns itself with the design language seen on the new 5 and 7 Series. The 6 Series retains the two door design with the forthcoming Gran Coupe carrying the 4-door coupe design.

In person, the car looks longer than in photos, the overhangs are certainly shorter and very muscular.

As with the new 5 and 7 Series, the aesthetics of the interior design have moved up the luxury scale, with fluid lines and higher quality materials. BMW remains true to its core design elements and the BMW Concept 6 Series Coupe continues to feature the driver-oriented cockpit, which underlines the sporty character of the 6 Series.

As we move forward in the day, we will have more photos, videos and exclusive interviews.

Good 5 GT inspired looks. I think one can also see the nice touches of Jag design thrown in. It also gives us a good idea of how the 2012 5 GT facelift would look like. Well done BMW.

YES, bungle free clean lines. Well done. Now we can all forget the last 6er….

all those talk about the renderings being ugly and distasteful were pointless the final product is awesome. Wait till the M6 arrives.

now all you eager beavers that butt ugly EVD vehicle is coming in a few weeks, so you can actually start blog about that…

“Yes ,Bungle free clean lines “-
Actually this car was conceived when Chris Bangle was still at BMW.
Bangle resigned in 2009 this car has been in the design stage since 2007.

And the 6er was not that bad as everyone says it is up to before the economy crisis. Both 6er Coupe and Cabrio were selling 40,000 units per year.
Even now sales of the 6er Coupe and Cabrio before they were discontinued increased , especially in the North American market.

i can say this car looks way better than i thought, a thousand times better than the current 6. and i think the nicest bmw ive seen.

i also think it looks like a 3 series from the side a bit, which is a good thing.
