I was trying to find out about upgrade possibilities. Here's what I came away with: - As of current production (September 2009), the new voice control which lets you access music on the hard disc is included in Euro and US 7 Series models. Voice control for external music devices (iPods) will not be an available feature in the US until 9/2010, however. Any new vehicles purchased before this can not be upgraded as the additional functionality requires new hardware (different electronic control unit). Additionally, the "one-shot destination input" as the PR contact called it, will not be available on US vehicles until 03/2010. He did not say if that is something which can be upgraded, though my guess is likely not as it does seem to be a substantial change to the voice control for nav.
