With all the recent news lately, we forgot about the 2010 BMW 3 Series Coupe life-cycle impulse, or as some of us call it, facelift model. Last year, the 3er sedan received a highly applauded makeover and many of the BMW fans are expecting the same for the coupe model.
But unfortunately, BMW will disappoint them this time. According to our sources and as you can see from the spy photo below, the 2010 BMW 3 Series Coupe will receive some minor changes, mostly concentrated around the front bumper. In our opinion, the E92 Coupe already has an amazing design and according to some die hard bimmer fans, it’s close to perfection.
As expected and seen in all the previous BMW spy photos, plastic fake body panels painted to match the car are covering the lower front-end, but we expect to see some better photos soon when the psychedelic pattern camouflage will replace the extra plastic.
With the new 3 Series design already approved back in March, BMW will start focusing on the next generation 3 Series due to launch in late 2011, which according to our sources is a revolutionary model.

According to LeftLane, this will be released in late 2010 as a 2011MY, which goes against the usual BMW 3 year facelift cycle.
LeftLaneNews has it wrong. The face life is coming out this year not next year.
@Rich: Nicecar007 has it right, it will be out later this year as a 2010 model.
I wish they dont put the Red/Orange tail light (current e90) on coupe.
I wish they dont put the Red/Orange (current 3 Sedan) tail light on Coupe.

sorry for the mutli post.
I’ll go with the ‘close to perfection’ argument. This model doesn’t really need to look better, it really needs a refresher. Which is obviously what it gets.
Further, to me it looks like thye’re mimicking the chin spoiler effect from the up-coming 5GT and 5 series. Should look great.
Can we assume the changes will apply to E93 ‘verts at the same time?
@Mike: Probably, it would only make sense.
i agree with the close to perfection comment. When i first saw the e90 sedan it took a little while to get used to, a little too angular but I learned to love it. when I first saw the coupe I thought ‘wow, why couldnt they put that fascia on the sedan?’
Yes, I think the current coupe 3 series looks really good.
I don’t get it. Whats unfortunate about this?
the coupe will fail if they use an all-red tail light like the current e90 sedan….it looks very american and non-euro.
