This just came in: the BMW 1-series cars will come out of the dealers allocation, the same as the M3,M5, M6 and the 6 series models. A little bit unusual this move made by BMW, but we'll see if the rules will change in the future.
Please note that all 1 Series vehicles will be allocated to dealerships and that European Delivery will have no allocation for this model. If you have a customer that is interested in picking up the 1 Series at the BMW Welt, you must provide a production number from your dealership's inventory when submitting reservation requests to our office."

Hmmm…so this means no ED discount??? Bummer
Let’s hope the rules DO change and soon!!!!
Cheers,
How the heck can BMW advertise cars at ED pricing (right here: http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/Experience/Events/EuropeanDelivery/CostSavings.aspx) but then basically making it impossible to order a car that way by making buyers compete for allocations that will make a dealer more money selling at US MSRP.
Very two faced of BMW, not good.
Is it possible to get a 335 coupe with smg via European delivery?
