Top Gear releases their list of best hybrids and electric vehicles, and BMW snags two out of the six spots. The fully electric BMW i3 and the i8 hybrid sportscar top the list which also includes Tesla Model S P85d, Nissan Leaf, Vauxhall Ampera and Volkswagen e-Golf. Top Gear calls the i3 brilliant, thanks to its BMW-like drive, clever interior and the optional range extender.

The i8 gets the nod also thanks to its innovative design and the amazing powertrain which can go toe-to-toe with the Porsche 911.
