European Auto Source gets their hands on the new BMW M4 Convertible and puts it on the scale.
The F83 M4 Cabrio came equipped with the 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission, the Executive Package, Adaptive M Suspension, 19 inch wheels and half the fuel tank. The weight scale tipped at 4,088 lbs (1,854 kg). In comparison, the F82 M4 Coupe weighs 3,564 lbs (1,616 kg). The F83 M4 Cabrio is still about 53 lbs lighter than the E93 M3 Convertible.
Built atop the elegant and beautiful 4 Series Convertible, the BMW M4 Convertible joined its siblings, the M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe, last summer.
Under the hood, it features the same S55 3.0 liter inline-six TwinPower engine producing 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. The power is sent to the rear-wheels via a six-speed or an optional 7-speed M DCT transmission.
BMW has announced that pricing for the 2015 M4 convertible in the US will start at $73,425. That represents an increase of $8300 compared with the 2015 M4 coupe and $1750 versus the 2013 M3 convertible.
