BMW 2 Series Active Tourer

One of the most controversial BMWs of the year, or of this decade, is without a doubt the new 2 Series Active Tourer. BMW’s first front-wheel drive vehicle is often criticized by die-hard BMW fans, but not surprisingly, it has a special role for BMW’s future. In order to grow beyond the limited niches, the Bavarians have to create a new class of vehicles that cater to a larger demographic. In Europe, front-wheel drive vehicles are a huge seller for all automakers and they bring several advantages, from lower prices to increased interior space.

Yes, it’s not the prettiest car of the bunch, but in will help BMW’s bottom line, which in turn could give the company more money to build the cars we all love. Think along the lines of special M cars that could arrive in the future.

So this is why it made our list.
