BMW USA just announced today that the BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept will make its U.S. debut at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Considered a preview of future models, including the new G11/G12 7 Series, the Vision Future Luxury Concept stands for a forward- looking fusion of exclusivity and innovation, for a driving experience that is at once emotional and exclusive.

Built one an one-off platform, the concepts reveals an outstanding exterior and interior design, along with innovative technology, lightweight engineering and a seamlessly integrated user interface and driving experience.

BMW Vision Future Luxury offers front passengers their own Passenger Information Display. This display is connected to the Driver Information Display via a touch-sensitive panel, where information can be exchanged between driver and front passenger using swiping movements.

n the back, two Rear Seat Displays set into carbon surrounds, and a detachable Rear Seat Touch Command Tablet, put the finishing touch to the integrated user interface concept of the BMW Vision Future Luxury. We learned that this is not an Apple-powered operating system.

The car is painted in Liquid Platinum Bronze color, a first for a BMW vehicle.

For the first time on a BMW the rear lighting is provided by organic LEDs, paving the way for a completely new treatment of the typical BMW L-shaped lights. The BMW Vision Future Luxury’s L-shaped rear lights comprise a large number of small, likewise L-shaped OLEDs.

The BMW Vision Future Luxury will be previewed at the BMW press conference on Thursday, August 14 at the BMW Villa in Pebble Beach, CA.
