The latest addition to the X family, the BMW X4, makes its world debut today at the 2014 New York Auto Show.

The new BMW X4 offers the premium mid-size segment its first taste of the Sports Activity Coupe concept. Like its larger sibling, the BMW X6, the X4 offers a unique and unmistakable presence on the road. It delivers an unique blend of style, driving dynamics and all-road capability that can only be offered by a BMW Sports Activity Coupe

The X6 has demonstrated the appeal of the Sports Activity Coupe concept with 250,000 sold to date.

The color palette is pretty standard on the X4, similar to the other X-models. The second Sports Activity Coupe can be ordered in Mineral White, Glacier Silver, Mineral Silver, Melbourne Red, Deep Sea Blue, Sophisto Grey, Sparkling Brown, Black Sapphire, Alpine White and Black.

Inside the cabin, customers also have a wide selection of trims and leathers to choose from. It can also be ordered with two pre-defined packages, xLine and M Sport.

Prices for the BMW X4 2014 start at 45,600 euros for the X4 xDrive20d with the 190 hp B47 engine. Then at 46,100 euros base price we have the gasoline-powered X4 xDrive20i with 184 hp. 61 hp more under the hood of the X4 xDrive28i will set you back at least 51,700 euros. For the top-line six-cylinder petrol engine with 306 hp BMW asks 58,000 euros. The 258-hp BMW X4 xDrive30d costs a minimum of 55,100 euros while the xDrive35d has a price of 60,100.

In the US, the X4 will be offered with a choice of two TwinPower Turbo engines. The X4 xDrive28i, with a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $45,625 (including destination and handling), will feature the 240 horsepower 2.0-liter four cylinder engine while the top-of-line X4 xDrive35i, with an MSRP of $48,925 (including destination and handling) will output 306 hp.
