With just a few months before its official market launch, BMW i8 continues to show up at auto shows around the country. The first progressive hybrid sportscar is in display at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show featuring the Crystal White color.
BMW i8 can be specified in a choice of four colors, three of which have been created exclusively for BMW i. All the paint finishes provide a striking contrast to the black belt: Ionic Silver, Crystal White and Sophisto Grey.
Along with many tech innovations in the space, the i8 will be offered with laser light technology.
The optional high-beam headlights with laser light technology includes a typical BMW i U-shaped frame, from which the running lights and the built-in indicators are operated. A second, wide light frame surrounds the innovative laser light unit and emphasizes its three-dimensionality. a passively lit blue band signalizes the lighting unit’s innovative technology. In the equipment with laser light, the headlights have a brilliant metallic side cover rather than a dark one.
