The 2014 BMW X3 with a facelift was spotted near the BMW plant in Spartanburg. The BMW X3 M Sport package was seen side-by-side with the upcoming BMW X4 which is built on the same platform.
The second-generation BMW X3 is preparing for a mild refresh that will debut in 2014. The F25 X3 LCI will bring subtle exterior and interior updates, similar to the F10 5 Series LCI.
The spy photo below shows changes to the front apron and the inner workings of the headlights. The exterior mirrors are also getting the built-in side indicators like other newer BMW models.
Inside the BMW X3 facelift will bring some design changes that will enhance its status of a premium SUV. So we expect to see the new BMW iDrive Touch Controller as well as the latest generation iDrive Navigation System with 3D display.
Powertrains are expected to be the same as the current models, 2.0-liter four cylinder and 3.0-liter six, both turbocharged and mated to an 8-speed automatic. It remains unknown if BMW North America will offer a diesel variant as well.[Photo: Palbay/Chris Doane Automotive via R&T]
