Following the same comparison path as MotorTrend, Car and Driver publishes a teaser video of their upcoming review of the 2011 Audi RS5, 2010 BMW M3 and 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe.

The full test drive review is available in the September printed issue of Car and Driver, and it will most likely be online shortly, but for now, they released a teaser video, including some track drifting. C&D rates their cars on four categories: Vehicle, Powertrain, Chassis and Experience.

The M3 came second only in the Powertrain category, but comfortably won the others. With 220 points, the M3 surpasses the CTS-V Coupe (205 points) and the Audi RS5 (199 points).

Great endorsement from two major car magazines.

This M3 will become a Legend.
I guess this will be the last naturally aspirated M3 :(

Wat happened to the 5er last comparo?

Maybe if the e class was there, the e class would be 5th, and xf 4th.

Wow, America is finally Catching up. Just a little bit less plastic and it may be victorious.

    • adc

A little less plastic (especially the shiny stuff that dots the center console) and 600-700 lbs less and it will win every comparo. Not sure how they’ll drop so much weight from it though.

Its American Muscle, Its suppose to be heavy.

        • txdesign

LOL, so the fact that a Camaro weighs 4K pounds is a good thing?

You will live if you get into a crash.

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1497041056 Daniel Hoang

Umm not really, i knew a guy in California with a old S class and the car didnt do so well when a drunk hit him on the side.

          • bob191

maybe its a hard crash like speeding and then crash on his side it will sure do nothing coz wt am talking abt saftey is that german car rarly become total lost like american cars such as the corvette u can even check on wreckedexotics.com wts the conditions of both types when they crash…

          • bob191

i mean not like american cars any accident the car is a total lost even if its a small accident

BMW M=Winning formula. Let the others play “Catchup”-Manny

At least we still have the M division to keep us happy and gives the real Ultimate driving machines…no bloody electric steerings and run flats here!!!

  • Jimmy

    The Caddy is a M6 competitor, not a M3 competitor…

    • v1p3r

And yet the M3 trumps it in every department except outright power figures. The new M6 is yet to come. No doubt it is a great effort from Cadillac and deserves props for what it is. And if this is all Cadillac can muster vs an outgoing design I dunno whst it’ll look like vs the new M6

    • bob191

it shoud even be a m5 competitor and not a m3

  • bob191

sru did a mistake m6* competitor
