Along with the 3 Series Coupe and Convertible, the Motorsport version of these two production models will also receive a mild life cycle impulse, or facelift as some of us call it. While the changes in the 3er Coupe and Cab are more obvious, the M3 Coupe will receive slight upgrades.

The spy photos captured these past days show that changes will only take place at the rear end where a new set of LED taillights will complete the already near perfect design of the M3 Coupe and Convertible.

Confirmed by our sources as well, the BMW M3 Convertible will follow the same path as the previous generation E46 M3 E46 with the taillights being the only major addition to the facelift.

The interior design is also rumored to get a small upgrade, with improved trim and a new center armrest. Still unclear if the heated seats buttons will now be located onto the air control panel, as we have seen in the previous 3 Series Coupe spy shots.

      Dude, learn the language…!

    • KidrauhlM5

Mate, I think you need a BMW dictionary. As Giom said, LEARN THE LANGUAGE!!

    My guess:
Thicker LED light bars, and LED blinkers in the rear.
Redesigned headlights with LED blinkers like LCI E90.
    New wheel designs.

Non M3 E92 is getting new front/rear bumbers, side skirts, side mirrors, plus what’s listed above. I also here a creased hood, similar to the LCI E90, will be added…

    It will look very nice!

    • Tom

im praying for redesigned headlights with the LED blinkers. The e90 facelifted headlights are hot as hell haha along with the creased hood :)

and i agree with you on the thicker LED light bars on the tailights. BMW’s gonna make all the new tailights look the same, and the ones they came up with for the new 5er,7 and X are hot as hell also.

i loveee the new line up! time to upgrade from an e46? …

They should put those RIMS on it.. I love them way more than the current M3 ones.

    • KidrauhlM5

Make it as a standard option. I love it too!!!

  • Shirin

No one calls it “mild life cycle impulse”.

  • E92-Toronto

I hope they dont put the red/orange tail light, white/red look much better.

  • Doug

    Why are they doing this…?

    • Tom

because they always find something to improve on the current model until its absolute perfection. (facelift)

IMO, the coupe and vert are damn near perfect already. but i do have things in mind that would make it look more perfect to me

      • Doug

Well, it’s the same sort of [inexpensive] updates they did with the e46. I’m not sure that this (or that) improved the design…. it’s almost like it’s just to create a distinction between new and “recently new” cars.

I like the design too… I just am saddened by the height increase with the e90.

        • Tom

yeah i know what you mean. i have a prefacelifted e46, i mean.. there are things i love about the facelifted, and there things that i love about the prefacelifted. i dont think my feelings would have been any different with the model if they left it to its origional design.

the height increase doesnt bother me much. i sat in a few new bmw’s at the dealer and from the origional e90 to the newer e90, i didnt feel much of a difference. its a totally different feeling than the e46 haha.
my only problem, like a lot of people, was the e90′s rear. terrible, terrible design. the front, i could have done without an update.

Doesn’t current M3 have a carbon fiber roof? The one in this photo is body color paint. LCI change, or pre-production anomaly?
