The max output of M3CSL is 360hp. CSL doesn’t have air-flow sensor and it is calculating intaking air volume by DME.
I sometimes enjoy race track run with my own M3CSL.

No, the CSL wasn’t supercharged but it wasn’t 333hp either. It had a little more power (but nothing astronomical) than the standard e46 M3. IIRC it was in the neighborhood of ~370hp.

Clara – Waffle’s right, the original wasn’t supercharged but a naturally aspirated 3.2L inline 6.

However, you may be thinking of the Loaded M3 CSL – a modified, supercharged CSL that set a record run around the ‘Ring within the last year or so. The CSL was then auctioned off for a charitable organization:

In the last few years the older CSL’s of the flared-wheel arched and outlandishly painted 1970’s have begun to go for near $50,000 a car and are only likely to increase.

Nice article, Andrew. Has anyone compared this CSL to the current M3? (or plain m3 to m3). I’ve always been on the opinion that the E46 handled slightly better than the E90, though it’s not as fast.

Also… wasn’t the E46 CSL supercharged?? Or was that in the E36 generation?
