The guys at e90post have done it again. They were able to get a hold of spy photos showing the BMW 3-series sedan facelift. The new design will be available starting in September 2008 as a 2009 model. Despite the fact that the car is still camouflaged, we can see several differences from the current 3-series models.
- front bumper (different, less edgy/angular shape)
- front air intake including fog lights (different shape)
- the grille is more rounded
- headlight graphics (CELIS LED corona rings with DRL function)
- the hood has a different shape
- side skirt (sharper)
- rear bumper (different "diffusor" lip)
- part of tail lights located on boot lid (different shape / graphics)

I had a BMW 3 series back in 2002. I wasn’t impressed with it, as a matter of fact I disliked it enough to trade it in early. The new 3 series though definitely catches my eye. I hope they continue refining the look.
I disagree. 2002 E46 3 series , both sedan and coupe are ones of the best looking BMW’s in years.
I loved the 3 series 328i (I had 2 of them) in 1999 and 2002 – the shape, the feel, the power , ooh la la!! I currently have 2006 330i (sports pkg, etc) and I think it’s just OK…. I was in love with the older ones. I should have kept them!!
