The 2017 Chicago Auto Show kicked off last week and BMW is once again present to introduce to the world their latest models. The new BMW 5 Series is the main star at the BMW booth in Chicago this week, but one other model might outshine the business sedan. The 2017 BMW i8 Protonic Red took the front stage and has greeted BMW’s visitors with its futuristic design lines and flashy exterior.

Along with the special i8, BMW is also displaying a series of plug-in hybrids. The 740e limousine is one of the hybrids displayed, next to the 330e iPerformance. The X family is represented by their only plug-in hybrid – the X5 xDrive40e.

The i family is complemented by its second member, the i3, displayed in the new Protonic Blue color.
