One of the most expensive colors in the world comes to the 2019 IAA. A BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe in Pure Metal Silver shines at the BMW stand. The multi-layered and deep-gloss silver finish is associated with a price tag of 8,800 euros, which makes it one of the most expensive paint jobs one could get.

Clearly, thanks to the Pure Metal Silver, the shapes of the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe are even more pronounced, giving the four-door coupe a sportier and more luxurious look.

As with the paint job, the model shown in Frankfurt, also goes into full force when it comes to motorization. The V8 under the hood is reserved for the top-of-the-range BMW M850i xDrive, which produces a staggering 530 hp.

Starting at 1,800 rpm, the maximum torque of 750 Newton meters helps the BMW M850i xDrive achieve a sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.9 seconds.

If you want even more performance, you have to wait until next year when the BMW M8 Gran Coupe comes to market. The M8 four-door coupe will produce 625 hp to compete with the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door coupe or the Porsche Panamera Turbo.

The high-quality interior of the vehicle presented in Frankfurt is characterized by the BMW Individual full leather Merino in the Cognac color. The fine wood finish further highlights the high-level luxury of the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe.

In the US, prices start at $84,900 for the new 2020 840i Gran Coupe, $87,800 for the 840i xDrive Gran Coupe and $108,900 for the M850i xDrive Gran Coupe. Pricing does not include $995 Destination.
