Now that the new BMW X2 is set to arrive in dealerships around the world, people will be looking to make sure their cars are configured just right, to reflect their personality. The BMW X2 was designed from the get go to be a non-conformist model, one that breaks the rules and wants you to show off. Therefore, the people over at BMW Italy decided to launch a special edition to mark the arrival of the latest SAV in the European country: the BMW X2 Rebel Edition.

The Rebel Edition models are all fitted with the M Sport X body kit and are all xDrive25d models underneath the sheet metal. They are also wearing Galvanic Gold paint on the outside and will be wearing individual ‘tattoos’ signed by renowned artist Pietro Sedda. The man was asked by BMW Italy to create unique designs for the cars, and he made sure that all five of the Rebel Edition X2 models will have an individual work of art on display on the C-Pillar and inside the cabin, on the center armrest.

There’s a catch though. The tattoos on the outside will be completely invisible if the temperature is either under 12° C or above 18° C. Apparently, the perfect temperature to check them out will be 15° C. That sounds interesting and they will surely find a home, even though the asking price tag for one is €60,000 or about $73,000 at today’s exchange rates. If you want one, you should put your order in as the cars are already on sale and at the time of writing only four were still available.

Needless to say that the Rebel Edition models are also full-option, fitted with all the options you can get on the X2, from the comfort package to the Harman/Kardon sound system, as one would expect considering the price tag.
