BMW gives us a new photo gallery of the BMW X2 from the media launch in Lisbon, Portugal. At the start of the market in March 2018, the most affordable BMW X2 will be available at a price of 39,200 euros, which is the X2 sDrive20i with front-wheel drive and 192 hp. Compared to the X1, this corresponds to an extra charge of 2,550 euros. Assuming a similar difference for the already announced, but not yet officially introduced entry-level model X2 sDrive18i, a basic price of about 34,250 euros for the BMW X2 F39 will be expected.

If you want to drive the BMW X2 at market start with all-wheel drive xDrive, you can only grab one of the two diesel models. The most favorable variant is the BMW X2 xDrive20d, which costs at least 43,800 euros. For the 41 hp stronger X2 xDrive25d with TwinTurbo diesel, a minimum of 46,800 Euro is due, but it is not offered with the regular standard equipment and is always at least equipped with the Advantage package. Considering this difference, the TwinTurbo diesel is only 1,550 euros more expensive than its weaker brother.

In the US, the base model xDrive28i starts at $38,400, but it quickly balloons into the mid-$40k range with options. Especially if you want the M Sport X Design variant, because of course you do, which adds sportier looking touches and starts at $43,050. If you pick the Premium Tier of the M Sport X Design (which includes a Head-Up Display and Navigation), it starts off at $45,650.

There are a lot of interesting color options for the BMW X2. Colors like Misano Blue, Sunset Orange and Dark Olive are all interesting and we’re thankful that BMW is giving such an interesting car some interesting colors.

Stay tuned for our drive review.
