For most of us, the 2018 BMW M5 F90 remains an unachievable dream car in the foreseeable future, but dreaming is permitted and thoughts are free. If you would like to figure out exactly what your 2018 BMW M5 would look like in your driveway, the configurator at BMW.de will give the chance to experiment with options and colors to determine which color is best for the power sedan.

In the configurator, there are eleven classic colors from Alpine White or Sapphire Black to Snapper Rocks Blue. With the help of BMW Individual, of course, additional colors can be obtained at an extra charge. Two wheel designs in 19 and 20 inches complement the look of the BMW F90 M5, while the larger wheels are also available  in Jet Black and can then set a sharp contrast to the exterior color.

In Germany, the basic price for the new BMW M5 was announced at 117,900 euros, but it can quickly climb a few tens of thousands with additional options and packages. An interesting special feature is the M Track Pack at a price of 11,250 euros, which emphasizes the dynamic side of the sedan with M Driver’s Package, M Carbon Ceramic Brake and M Carbon Motor Cover, and makes the M5 fit for the race track.

When it arrives next year, the M5 will feature the newest version of BMW’s 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Now, it makes 600 hp on the nose and 553 lb-ft of torque. All of that fury is sent through an eight-speed ZF-sourced automatic that’s been specifically tuned for M5 duty. When powering all four wheels, as it does normally, this new BMW M5 can accelerated from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds. That makes it the fastest accelerating BMW of all time, faster than even the M4 GTS. Top speed will be electronically-limited to 155 mph. However, with an optional M Driver’s Package, that top speed increases to 189 mph.
