Starting in Spring 2016, BMW M will offer a Competition Package for the M3, M4 Coupe and M4 Convertible models. In a recent interview, BMW boss Frank van Meel confirmed the power package for those who own one of the middle-class athletes from Garching.

“In addition to extensive measures to further enhance driving dynamics and agility, this package also comprises various exclusive equipment details as well as an increase in engine output,” Van Meel said without revealing – yet – the power output.

The standard M3/M4 makes 425 / 431 hp, while the BMW M4 GTS with Water Injection delivers 500 horsepower, so we expect to see a power bump with the Competition Package to around 450-460 horsepower.

The Competition Package will be presented officially at the Geneva Motor Show 2016 with a web reveal scheduled likely in February.
