Mercedes-Benz debuted two A45 AMG models at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show. First one, dubbed Edition 1, previews all the options available for the A45 AMG “standard” model.

The Edition 1 features the AMG rear aerofoil, additional flics to the front apron and a larger front splitter. Other exterior upgrades include an AMG carbon-fiber mirror housing, AMG Exterior Carbon-Fiber package, a front splitter, a set of side sill panel inserts and trim on rear apron in carbon fiber as well.

The A45 AMG receives a set of AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels in 8 x 19 fitted with 235/35 R 19 tires. They come finished in two variants, either painted in titanium grey with high-sheen finish or in matte black with high-sheen rim flange.

Under the hood, the super sporty hatch features a twin-scroll turbocharged 2.0 liter developing a maximum output of 360 hp and up to 450 Nm of torque. The Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds, while its top speed stands at 155 mph. The engine is paired with the AMG Speedshift DCT seven-speed dual clutch transmission.

The Mercedes A45 AMG reports a fuel consumption of 6.9 liters and it starts at 49,682.50 euros.
