Ahead of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, a quiet beach in Wales echoes with the sound of the new BMW M5’s twin turbo engines as precision driver Wolfgang Weber enjoys drifting around Pendine Sands.

The video comes to support the BMW London 2012 Performance Team athletes. For next year’s olympics, BMW will supply 4,000 vehicles, in addition to the 400 bicycles, from diesels to electric cars, hybrids to motorcycles.

During the Games, BMW bicycles will be available for use by athletes in the Athletes Village and by London 2012 staff. BMW motorcycles will also be used in certain Olympic and Paralympic events.

A proportion of the fleet will be wheelchair-accessible and BMW will convert a number of vehicles for use by disabled drivers and passengers.

Let’s have a look at some cool drifting!
