On the second day of the 2014 LA Auto Show, we went back to the BMW exhibit to snap more photos of the new twin brothers: the BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M.

Still considered a niche product in the high-performance SUV market, the two M-brothers aim to set the bar higher for BMW in terms of sales and showcase that a heavyweight M car can still be fun on the road and on the track.

BMW says that over 10,000 kilometers were clocked around the Nurburgring with the two cars delivering performance equal or better with the E92 M3.

The two all-wheel drive Ms benefit from an updated V8 TwinTurbo engine delivering more horsepower and torque, as well as from a tuned up chassis, better and bigger brakes, and Michelin tires to match the performance of the car.
