Earlier today the new BMW M4 Coupe in concept form made its web debut. As with any new BMW, we set course to compare the current generation BMW M3 Coupe against next year’s BMW M4 Coupe.

To make the comparison even more interesting we went with two similar and polarizing colors: the new Aurum Dust and the old school Phoenix Yellow.

The design of the new M4 is what we expected from the Munich designers. Using an already attractive base car, the BMW 4 Series Coupe, Adrian Van Hooydonk and his team give the first M4 a look that will not be easily forgotten. The front end stands out with large air inlets, with the nose facing down ready to conquer the road.

The BMW M4 Coupe Concept also features CFRP design elements like a front splitter, rear diffuser and a roof with ///M stripes. A further striking feature on the front of the new BMW Concept M4 Coupe is the BMW M double bar kidney grille. Muscular wheel arches give the car an aggressive look even when viewed from the side.

At the rear, the typical twin tailpipes are present, along with a rear apron. A carbon fiber rear diffuser completes the overall aerodynamics package.

The design of the E92 M3 Coupe continues to look fresh even seven years after its introduction. The proportions and sportiness are still very much alive, and the current M3 will age well.

Take a look at the photo comparison below and tell us which design you prefer the most.
