I went to Autozone, they could not clear any light only tell me it was my gas cap…

Hi I was driving home from work and my BMW 318is started to judder at 3500rpm as if the rev limiter was kickin in it was raining heavy . I got home n then went out again about 10 min later and it started to do it again but this time at 5000rpm any advice thanks Paul … It’s a 1996 318is coupe :)

I have the same problem with my brake light “ON”.

I would like to know how to reset the light also. I had rear brake pads and rotor replaced on my 2007 530i
and my shop didn’t know to reset the light.

I have a 2007 BMW X5 3.0 and its off warranty I would like to know how to unlock the service reminder to change the next service interval. I have followed the post where I press the start buttom without my foot on the brake and pressing the odometer button until the service reminder icons appear I can toggle through each of the service reminders (service due/oil/front brakes/rear brakes/exhaust) but can’t seem to change them. There was a post about unlocking the service reminder ” menu is LOCK to unlock it, you need to go in the menu to option 19 and is going to said “lock on” and then “code 00″ to find your code you have to add the last 5 digits of your VIN, my unlock code is 20 then you nove the “code 00″ to “code 20″ then that menu will have many options like oil temp, cabin temp, real speed, time that said how many hours you have driven and the last one said “RESET” that’s the one that you click and it will reset your service” I don’t know how to change the values in this unlock sequence….any help

After numerous attempts it is down to how long you press when the reset is flashing… see if it does the trick.

my 03 318 won’t reset following these steps. Still shows overdue service? Tried it 4 or 5 times but same results, resets flashes but doesn’t reset?
Any help?

Worked on my 2000 323 coupe. But step 5 onwards is a bit different, after the quick push to reset the display only shows SIA, not the new interval. Next button push shows end, next push returns to normal display.

FINNALLLLLY ! i made it ! the trick is to press (when you see the RE or RESET flashing) very shortly, fast…. don’t hold it, it wont work !
