I am not sure how many of you remember the BMW Isetta which was one of the most successful microcars produced in the post-WWII years. I am not going into the history of Isetta because there are many details and history behind it, so I am just going to let you read a wiki on this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isetta
The reason why we're bringing this up right now is because there are many rumors floating around saying that BMW might be working on a small urban mobility vehicle similar to Mercedes' Smart car.
With increased awareness and drive towards smaller more fuel efficient vehicles for city use, the idea of BMW bringing back the Isetta is not that far off. Of course many of the original car's design quirks would have to be lost to meet modern day regulations.
What do you guys think? Is there a market in the U.S for this? Would busy cities be an optimal market?
