In one of my previous articles, I have already posted some photos with the BMW 1-series convertible and today I am ready to show you more photos, but in a different color, a little more attractive that what we have seen so far. The 1-series convertible seems to be a little less disguised than in the previous spy photos.
As I have mentioned before, there will not be a hard top on this new convertible, and it seems that BMW is sticking with their soft top option (maybe trying to keep the car lighter? )
The rumor is that the BMW 1-series convertible will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2008 and it will be probably accompanied by the 1-series coupe.
Many people are wondering if the M Sport package will be available to order for this model, but no confirmation yet from BMW. My guess is that, if the BMW 135i coupe will have the M Sport package as an option, BMW will probably going to offer the same thing on the convertible. The 1-series coupe and convertible will be BMW’s bet for the US market, and the expectations are very high.
Of course, the 135i convertible will be powered by the BMW award-winning twin turbo engine and we’re expecting the 128i to have the same engine as its “bigger brother”, the BMW 328i.
No pricing information are available at this time.
