Google is now the largest subsidiary corporation of Alphabet, the newly established holding company that manages Google and all the other assets. The official URL for the Alphabet website is abc.xyz because Alphabet.com is owned by Alphabet, a BMW-owned fleet management service.

Earlier today, BMW decided to have some fun and responded to Google’s Alphabet restructure by publishing an A to Z of its fleet management services provided under it’s Alphabet brand.

The tagline: “Because Alphabet is more than a name to us.”

A BMW spokeswoman said Tuesday that the automaker was not informed ahead of time of plans by Google to create a company called Alphabet and had not received any offers to buy the Internet domain or the trademark.

“We are not planning to sell the domain,” said Micaela Sandstede, a BMW spokeswoman in Munich. She described the website as a “very active” part of Alphabet’s business.

For now, this is all fun.
