Both BMW and MINI brands achieve best-ever sales figures.
BMW Group Canada (BMW and MINI brands combined) reported 4,164 retails in June, an increase of 18.9 per cent over June, 2010. With a total of 16,884 units sold so far this year, the company has achieved five of six best-ever months for 2011, and has set a new record for monthly and year-to-date sales figures.
BMW.
The BMW brand reported a record 3,512 sales in June, an increase of 16.8 per cent over the same month last year. Year-to-date sales of 14,454 units represent an increase of 11.5 per cent compared to the same period last year.
MINI.
MINI reported sales of 652 units in June, an increase of 30.1 per cent over June, 2010. MINI has sold 2,440 units so far in 2011, an increase of 16.9 per cent over the same period last year.
Motorrad.
BMW Motorrad Canada continued its success at the Canadian Superbike series with a first- and third-place ranking in race one, and first- and fifth-place rankings in race two of the series. Six S1000RR’s finished within the top 10.
BMW Motorrad Canada reported sales of 228 units in June, a decrease of 12.3 per cent compared to June, 2010. The year-to-date figure for the brand is 988 units, a decrease of 18.4 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Pre-owned.
BMW pre-owned reported 1,221 units retailed in June, representing a decrease of 4.8 per cent over June, 2010. Year-to-date, a total of 6,482 units have been sold, marking an increase of 6.9 per cent compared to the same period last year.
On the MINI side, 172 units were sold, an increase of 7.5 per cent over June, 2010. On the year, MINI pre-owned has sold 1,159 units, an increase of 69.9 per cent over the same period last year.
