Earlier this week at Nurburgring, BMW delivered 15 M235i Racing cars to the privateer teams competing in VLN.

The 333-hp racing car, which is based on the BMW M235i Coupé production model, is powered by a straight six-cylinder engine with a capacity of 2,979 cc.

BMW M235i Racing costs 59,500 Euros (plus VAT) and our sources say it’s a preview for the BMW M2.

Motorsport-specific driving aids such as ABS, DSC and traction control ensure that the motorsport newcomers can also handle the BMW M235i Racing surely and safely. The car also comes with mechanical limited-slip differential, which is also available for the BMW M235i Coupé in the original BMW Parts range.

M235i Racing car or not, it’s just an M235i and packs ONLY 333 hp… I just am interested in seeing cars deliver more than 450 hp.

It has more than just the extra power. Lots of racing tech.

      • Roland Renno

Yeah you’re right but we really need to see something like the M5 Competition Package which has more power than the standard one.

BMW is probably saving that stuff for the new M2.

What do you need a racing car for if you can’t even park inside the lines?

    • jason bourne
