Earlier this week BMW announced that in 2014, the all-new BMW M4 will enter the DTM championship.

“We are all really looking forward to the new BMW M4 DTM,” said BMW Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt. “The BMW Concept M4 Coupé certainly looks fantastic. So will our DTM car for next season – I can already promise all the fans that much. The BMW M3 DTM won the title at the first attempt in 2012. We obviously want to follow on from this success with its successor. However, it will still be quite a while until we get to see our new DTM racing car for the first time.”

Furthermore, Dr. Friedrich Nitschke, President of BMW M, says that “with the launch of the BMW Concept M4 Coupé, we are now laying the foundation for a new era, both on the road and on the racetrack. The reactions to the Concept Car have so far been overwhelming. It is almost a matter of course to use it as the basis for a motorsport version. The DTM is obviously the ideal platform for this step. All fans of BMW M and the DTM certainly have good reason to start looking forward to 2014.”

We have asked rendering artist Jon Sibal to show us what the BMW M4 DTM could look like. The rendering uses design elements from the current M3 DTM car coupled with the new and already aggressive M4 design.

There’s our BMW supercar right there! The body can change, but that’s the front end it must have. Beautiful work!

Why does it say on the image?

    • Horatiu B. says:

Cause we’re being nice guys and let them have a presence on our site. In the end they’re just a forum

      • the///M4n says:

I don’t get it. What’s the difference to your site. I see the same stories and more on bimmerpost?

        • Horatiu B. says:

clearly you’re from that forum since you already linked to it, so you should know the difference:

          1. Original stories
          2. Real test drive reviews with professional writing
          3. First site to focus on BMW news, not in a forum way
          4. We cover quality stories, not just any rumors that float around.
          5. Tens of test drives every year.

Should I keep going? You clearly visited our site for some reason so:

          1. You;re either that forum’s admin or moderator

          2. You read us all the time.

I still don’t get it. You mention stuff like “original stories” or “real test drive reviews” which sounds very subjective to me (personally, I’ve seen some really good reviews on their site and some fairly bad ones on your site) and seem to focus that ure site’s not a forum. But what’s the difference for me as a reader?

          • Horatiu B. says:

Conversation is over. You’re clearly here to troll and you’re part of that forum. So no point to discuss this.

If you want real test drives, go here

You can also contact us privately and we can discuss your “concerns” with the quality of our work.

            Take care.

    • Horatiu B. says:

Oh and cause we were the first to think about this rendering and asked Jon to do it, not that forum.

      • auaq says:

Horatiu, don’t worry about it. One of the reasons I come here is that I at many times cannot stand some of the comments/postings in that forum and so I decide to come here and have a peaceful life. That’s just one thing. I simply come here because I like it. With little to no arguments/debates/keyboard warriors, this site is kept at its simplest form of informing the news to the world of BMW fanatics/enthusiasts.

Thanks a lot to you and your team.

        • Horatiu B. says:

Thanks, I appreciate it. We really try to give the best news out there and as much as possible, some original stories and drives. That’s the value we bring. We never wanted to be a forum, nor will ever be. But all these forums wanna be us to the point that they copied our initial design, then the type of articles we do, like photo comparisons, etc….

The troll you just saw is def one of that forum’s admins, nothing new, used to personal attacks.
