The BMW 3 Series GT was spied in Munich, fully unveiled, during a commercial photoshoot. The car is due to be unveiled in the next few weeks, but the image below show us the final design.

Furthermore, the car shown here features the sporty M Sport Package with M Performance Brakes. In the fenders we see for the first time a functional vent. At the front end, the F34 3 Series GT mimics the design language seen on the F30 3 Series Sedan with the headlights flowing into the kidney grille.

The 3er GT come with a hatch as seen on the 5 GT and raised ride height, and has a high belt line that completely wraps around the car, therefore giving the roof a sleeker look. While not shown here, we learned that the F34 3 Series GT will feature a retractable rear spoiler as an active aerodynamic component.

The engine options are inherited from the 3 Series Sedan, with a 335i GT top model. All will be mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard.

While not officially confirmed, we believe that the 3 Series GT will debut in March at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

*Facepalm* The 5 Series version is already a fail, and now they do the same with the 3 Series….

This whole GT thing should be shot right in the face and burried fucking deep somewhere beneath the Mariana Trench.

what the hell is this? even with M pack it looks odd , unattractive , dull , fat , I wonder how the 5gt sells since they decided to make a same concept in smaller package , why would you need that anyway?

Slightly better looking but…still…not the best looking bimmer

Damnit BMW. The GT’s have the potential to be excellent vehicles. They have the potential to aesthetically pleasing vehicles. Everyone drools over the A7 and A5 Sportback. All you had to do was slope the rear. That’s it. Get rid of the dual opening lid and slope the rear the whole way instead of ending in that vestigial trunk. STOP OUTCLEVERING YOURSELF. Had you done that with the 5GT you’d have beaten Audi to market with your own A7. Instead people don’t even consider them similar cars. Now you have the 3GT, a car you’ve been promising will look much sleeker than the 5GT, and what do you do? You make it look exactly the same. If not for the grills most people wouldn’t be able to tell the two apart from outside.

This is the 5 gt facelift and not the 3 gt. you have been fooled by whoever has posted this.

Would so prefer a 335i Touring to this aberration.

So disappointed BMW went forward with this model.

ugly as hell!!! just like the 5GT..

Wow, another ugly redesign. The upper body is so heavy looking itls lik a big ugly saucer on top of of a 3er. And the Euro pedestrian safety “bounce” standards and the way BMW has decided to meet them with the upright front end has completely killed the front end designs for the past 2 years and looks like this will contine. I have yearned for another new BMW in my normal 2 year cycle that I had to skip last year for the 1st time in 8 years. Looking at all that’s available right now, all the top heavy GT’s, the stub nosed sedans, the overweight Z’s, they are making nothing I desire anymore. After 20 years of 3s, M3, M roadsters, M5, X3’s 135is, I may have to start looking at the Porsche lineup or Audi or maybe even good old American iron.

sorry but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, It looks great and it will be a very prctical car, those who dont want a SAV will look at this car, sporty with a lot of space, BMW simply made the whole 3 line to be good for ALL kinds of taste, good idea BMW now all the others will follow, I have seen and heard these comments so many times and at the end they eat their hat. (bangle haters) even the first x5 SAV they were all against it !! look now where are those who know it all.

It’s so ugly, not that I don’t like BMW, but they should just scrap the whole thing. The 5 GT might have been mildly successful but they shouldn’t kid themselves, they’re not creating any new niche because no one is going to compete with them on that one.
