Richmond Hill, ON – BMW Group Canada (BMW and MINI brands combined) reported 2,867 retails in July, an increase of 14.1 per cent over July, 2010. A total of 19,761 units have been sold so far this year, an increase of 12.5 per cent over last year.

BMW.
The BMW brand achieved its best ever July with 2,404 sales, an increase of 14.1 per cent over the same month last year. Leading sales in July was the X3 with a 74 per cent increase in sales. The 5 Series and 6 Series models also performed strongly, with 8 per cent and 120 per cent increases respectively. Year-to-date sales of 16,858 units represent an increase of 11.8 per cent compared to the same period last year.


MINI.
MINI reported sales of 463 units in July, an increase of 14.3 per cent over July, 2010. Leading the charge was the MINI Convertible models with a 34 per cent increase. MINI has sold 2,903 units so far in 2011, an increase of 16.4 per cent over the same period last year.

Motorrad.
BMW Motorrad Canada reported sales of 180 units in July, a decrease of 20 per cent compared to July, 2010. The year-to-date figure for the brand is 1,168 units, a decrease of 18.6 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Pre-owned.
BMW pre-owned reported 1,078 units retailed in July, a decline of 5.9 per cent over July, 2010. Year-to-date, a total of 7,560 units have been sold, marking an increase of 4.8 per cent compared to the same period last year.

On the MINI side, 157 units were sold, an increase of 5.3 per cent over July, 2010. On the year, MINI pre-owned has sold 1,316 units, an increase of 58.3 per cent over the same period last year.
