The new Infiniti EX35 Crossover SUV has been unveiled to the press and it is ready to enter the crossover market by competing with the upcoming BMW X6 due to launch in 2008.
According to Infiniti, the EX35 is a crossover coupe and at this time its competitors seem to be the BMW X3 and the Audi A4 3.2 V6 FSI quattro avant station wagon.
The Infiniti will be powered by a fourth generation VQ35HR 3.5 liter V6 engine putting out 290 horsepower. A 5-speed automatic transmission and Nissan’s new ATTESA E-TS (Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All Electronic Torque Split) all-wheel drive system, will be some of the new things offered in this Infiniti Crossover.
As expected, several new features will be included in this EX35 and one of the interesting ones is the Around View Monitor (AVM) which uses four small cameras to give the driver a top-down view of the vehicle perimeter for parking assistance. I have to admit that from the specifications presented to us by Infiniti, their model will be a tough competitor for BMW, and we can only hope that the X6 will live up to the expectations.
Here are some photos with the X6.
