BMW UK releases a new video of 2012 BMW M5. Moving away from the Monte Carlo color seen in the official photos, the new video shows the aggressive and sporty design lines through a beautiful black paint.

As expected, the new footage takes us through some drifting sessions to showcase the capability of the F10 M5.

BMW UK also announced that the new 2012 BMW M5 will be priced at £73,040 or $118,306 when converted to U.S. dollars. Previous generation BMW M5 was priced at t £65,890. The super sporty saloon goes on sale on November 19.

The F10 M5 uses a high-revving 4.4-liter (4395cc) turbocharged engine with the BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology, twin-scroll turbochargers, high-precision direct fuel injection, VALVETRONIC variable valve control and a cross-bank exhaust manifold that outputs 560 horsepower from 5,750-7,000 rpm and 680Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque from only 1500rpm. The V8 turbo takes the M5 to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds and under 4 seconds using BMW’s new Launch Control.

BMW offers a 7-speed DCT and manual transmission in the new M5 (only available in the US). The M5 is limited to a top speed of 155 mph, or 190 mph with the M Driver’s Package.

I am bored with these dull colours lately, all Audi’s mercs, Lexus, Toyota, almost all cars on the roads these days are either black, white or silver, that’s why i like it when a big player like BMW comes up with something different, valencia orange, that blue from the m5, the new sporty red 1 series. And lately a few new cars with CSL colours as well, just my opinion ;)

Very impressive video I have to say. But even more impressive is how it accelerates and you can hear and see the engine’s torque torturing the rear end. Handling characteristics seems as typical and traditional as an M5 should be.

I like this new M5. It definitely seems more menacing and unforgivable. The E60 M5 was more of a wild screaming machine. This on the other hand seems like a very civilised beast. It’s half awake or nearly asleep at cruise but awakes when given the full beans. I think BMW have accomplished with what they wanted with this new M5; a sporty business like saloon with uber oomph power at the wish of the command.
