At the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the top three finalists for the World Car of the Year awards have been announced. In the 2011 World Car of the Year category, the BMW 5 Series is joined by the Audi A8 and Nissan Leaf.

Filled up at the Channel Tunnel, the new BMW 320d EfficientDynamics Saloon made it to Munich, then as far as Lille on the return leg – a staggering total of 1,013 miles on a single tank of fuel – before needing to be refuelled.
The 2010 BMW 320d receives an EfficientDynamics package that focuses, as the title describes, fuel efficiency. Built for the European market only, the BMW 320d EfficientDynamics achieves an impressive 68.9 mpg, or 4.1 liter/100km.
