In case you don’t remember, a few weeks ago I posted an article and some pictures showing a BMW 335i with Montego Blue exterior and Coral Red interior. Many forums have taken my story and posted on their boards. A lot of people liked it, but there are also many that said the car and the color combination could be featured in the next Superman movie.
So, that’s when I came up with an idea. I knew that one of my customers, that just came back from his BMW European Delivery, has purchased a BMW 335i with the Montego Blue and Coral Red, so I decided to surprise him. He is an out of state customer, so in order to accommodate him, I made arrangements to pick him up from the airport Sunday night, take him to my office and deliver the car the same night.
The same day, a few hourse before the pickup time, I grabbed my digital camera and my Superman sign and here is what I came up with:
You should have seen the surprise on his face, he started laughing and appreciated the good joke. I’m still waiting for him to send me some new photos.
He is ready to “fly” now
What do you guys think? Seeing the color in person, I kinda liked it a lot, it’s unique, refreshing and it screams young.

I’m actually pretty excited to see this car. The Montego/Coral is a bit bright for me, but I’ve always thought that a Monaco/Coral combination would look terrific. The BMW (USA) web site doesn’t allow that configuration however, so I just assumed it wasn’t available. Was your customer able to get the combo because he took adavantage of the European delivery? I’d love to get the scoop!
Thanks!
Jason
