MINI and Rolls Royce have revealed recently an exclusive, limited edition MINI model. “MINI inspired by Goodwood” was designed in close cooperation with Rolls Royce designers and is meant to embody the inimitable style of Rolls-Royce Design and to be a niche vehicle for the customers with a flair of individual approach.

Rolls Royce has upgraded the MINI interior to the highest level of luxury possible in a small premium car. The exterior and interior design of MINI Goodwood is inspired by fine materials and the British luxury car marque’s commitment to absolutely flawless workmanship. The high-end MINI features exquisite materials and benefits from exclusive Rolls Royce colors and veneers and the most elegant nappa leather.

MINI Goodwood will be produced in only 1,000 units and it is no wonder that it will cost 46,900 Eur, according to Welt.de – that is approx. 68,000 USD, significantly above the price of a MINI Cooper S full option. This makes MINI inspired by Goodwood the most expensive small premium car.

68 grand for this ? I can get an M3 for less. I guess there are always people with more money then brain.
I can see the market needing this… just in smaller numbers. like a thousand less…

The price for Europe maybe even is kinda ok, because if a new M3 in Europe costs 70K Euro, than in USA it still is 70K – but only in $. You see the difference..

US model M3 sedan starts at 58k for 68k (with a little discount) you can have one thats loaded with stuff. DTC, Performance package, etc. Most dealer will bargain a little, (or a lot) so you can walk away with a fully loaded M3 sedan or even coupe for 68k. Who would buy a Mini, even as luxurious as this, for the same price ? 68K puts you in a nice F10 535i which has a seriously nice interior.
This can only be appealing for people with no brain but loads of money. I’m sure the world is full of them so it will sell no doubt. My point was that its a completely useless build, resources were wasted on this.

I would love to see a Mini with a 1.6l Turbo-Diesel engine and 9speed automatic doing 75-80mpg in the US market, beating out the boring Prius from the fuel sipper king throne.
