Joined by the BMW M2, the BMW M4 GTS is among the quickest and most die-hard models that BMW M ever produced for the street. Coming with a 3.0 Liter BMW TwinPower Turbo engine, the BMW M4 GTS can rely on a whopping 493 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of peak torque. The power is harnessed through a 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission, equipped with Drivelogic, allowing the M4 GTS to sprint from 0 to 62mph (0-100km/h) in as low as 3.6 seconds. The vehicle comes ready for the racetrack right from the factory, thanks to several upgrades compared to the normal BMW M4. It features carbon fiber panels, lowering its weight and improving the aerodynamic characteristics. The coilover suspension allows the driver to attack those corners faster, all the while there is a water injection system, rollbar and other, race inspired additions, completing the track-oriented upgrades. Some will say, the vehicle is perfect from the start. To which we completely concur.
With most high-performance machines, the only field that many of us consider them lacking in is the wheels. Certainly, while the lightweight M Carbon Compound wheels can be ordered straight from the factory, to many, going with the aftermarket industry seems like a more viable choice. After all, this gives you the option of numerous different designs to choose from and the quality, craftsmanship, and fitment are top notch with a lot of companies these days.
Naturally, with a demanding performance platform like the M4 GTS, ordering just anything off the shelf just won’t cut it. This is the territory of the big players of the wheel industry and by a lot of means, HRE Wheels are one of the biggest in the business – and for a good reason.
This particular BMW M4 GTS build comes from Wheels Boutique. Their impressive experience and expertise make them a perfect tuning shop in the Miami area to do work on these kinds of beast. The tuner installed a set of HRE R101 Lightweight wheels on this BMW M4 GTS, giving it a perfect aftermarket upgrade. These forged wheels start at a mere 16lbs, pushing the R101 style to the next level.
The R101 LW is specifically designed for individual vehicle models – like this M4 GTS – creating the ultimate in lightweight optimization for street use. Every vehicle model has a different load rating and power output, so HRE utilized this data to redesign the R101 for each model application fine-tuning each detail of the wheel to remove weight and add stiffness where possible.
For this build, the wheels are sized 20×9.5 in the front and 20×11 in the rear. The wheels come with a Satin Charcoal finish. Additionally, the owner opted-in for a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The tires are sized 265/30/20 in the front and 305/25/20 in the rear.
