The Brilliance-BMW cooperation in China gives birth to a new model – the Zinoro 60H plug-in hybrid. The China-only SUV is based on the long wheelbase BMW X1 Li and features the same powertrain as the BMW X1 xDrive 25Le, which is also made by Brilliance-BMW and which will hit the market later this year. It consists of a 1.5 liter engine with 136hp and 220 Nm of torque and an electric motor with 95hp and 165 Nm. Combined output stands at 231hp and 385 Nm. All the power is sent through a six-speed automatic box.

Range is a massive 630 kilometers and 60 kilometers on pure electric. It has a fuel consumption of 1.8 liter per 100 kilometers and races from 0 to 100 in just 7.6 seconds.

In the looks department, the Zinoro is quite different from the X1, there is a different grille, bumpers, lights, and most eye catching a entirely different D-pillar.

Inside, the cabin resembles closely the X1’s, including the driver oriented dashboard.

The price for the Zinoro 60H was set at 313.000 yuan ($45,000) including all green-car subsidies.
