The BMW X5 M is a high-performance derivative of the X5 and the first generation was introduced to the press at the New York Auto Show in April 2009. It was BMW’s first M car with an all-wheel drive platform and one of the fastest trucks on the market.
The BMW X5 M is powered by a 4.4 liter V8 M engine delivering 555 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 500 lb-ft of torque from 1,500 to 5,650 rpm. The engine uses the advanced twin-scroll twin turbo technology with High Precision Direct Injection. By positioning the twin-scroll turbochargers together with the catalytic converters in the “V” section between the cylinders, it minimizes the turbo lag and offers better fuel efficiency. And performance, naturally – enough to propel the vehicle from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 4.5 seconds. Top speed is limited to a whopping 155mph (250km/h). More than enough for most owners.
The owner of this gorgeous BMW X5 M went over to Wheels Boutique, a Miami-based tuning shop to replace the original wheels with some aftermarket ones. The BMW X5 M seen here is equipped with a set of ADV5.2 MV.2 Super Light wheels. The addition of a set of aftermarket forged wheels gives the old generation X5 M a much needed touch just enough to inject some new life into it.
