The BMW M2 saga will soon come to an end. In the next few weeks, BMW will unveil the compact sportscar and ordering channels will open for fans around the world. M2 test mules continue to run around before the testing trials end and just yesterday, a lightly camouflaged M2 was spotted once again in Germany.
Compared to previous spy shots, these last one give us a closer look at the final design of the front fascia. Taking a page from the 1M, M235i, M4 and even the Vision GT, the M2’s front bumper sports the expected larger than usual air intakes and the air curtains first introduced by the original “baby-M.”
Based on these spy photos, Jeffrey L. decided to draw the front-end of the M2 which is likely to resemble this rendering.
Sources say, confirmed by unofficial reports from Germany, that the M2 will be offered in Alpine White, Black Sapphire and Mineral Grey colors, three out of four colors planned at launch time – Long Beach Blue is the other one.
The exterior paint jobs can only be paired with one leather option – Dakota black with blue stitching.
Navigation, carbon fiber inserts, 19″ wheels in black, Power seats including Memory function will be standard.
Production of the F87 M2 will kick off in November with first units being delivered to customers in March 2016.
