Considered by many the ultimate BMW performance model of the current decade, the BMW 1M certainly has an attractive appeal that makes it a head-turner on the street. An action filled car by all means, the 1M leaves some room for improvement for those owners that love to modify their cars.
This BMW 1M was taken to European Auto Source for some performance and cosmetic mods that perfectly accentuate the aggressive nature of this vehicle. This owner started the build by adding an Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust system and Akrapovic Stainless Steel Catless Downpipes. The exhaust offers an increase of 15 horsepower and 19 Nm of torque, while weighing 16 kg less than the stock exhaust.
In the 1M Coupe, the engine produces 340 PS (250 kW) at 5900 rpm and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) torque from 1,500 to 4,500 rpm (with +369 lb-ft (500 Nm) overboost). The only available drivetrain is a six-speed manual gearbox with a limited slip differential.
Next, a set of BBS FI wheels were added. These start at $7,995.00. But if you are looking for some of the lightest wheels around, providing excellent structural strength – the option is worth it. The BBS FI is a one-piece forged aluminum wheel designed and produced in the Motorsports department. As the flagship wheel in the BBS line-up, the FI is ultra-light, ultra strong and does a great job of showing off the aftermarket brakes.
Brembo GT Big Brake Kit (Front & Rear) is the brake system selected for this build, providing additional braking performance while nicely improving the visual appeal as well.
Additionally a series of BMW Performance Parts, like the carbon fiber rear spoiler, a Vorsteiner GTS-V carbon fiber rear diffuser and the iND painted cosmetic package for the exterior. Inside, the vehicle received a BMW performance steering wheel.
