The requirements of making a sweet sounding exhaust system may be overwhelming for some. For many, the exhaust system needs to growl when the throttle is open and be cultivated and refined when you take a simple cruise down the road. With the BMW F82 M4, there were several owners complaining about the depth and strength of the stock exhaust systems, but these issues are addressed by aftermarket exhaust companies.
The BMW M4 seen here has received an iPE valvetronic exhaust System without downpipes, a Manhart tuning box and an overall tune up. This was done by England-based company MSL Performance UK where they’ve managed to create a sick sounding M4 with this build.
While not as popular as other exhaust system companies, Innotech (or iPE) is definitely one of the best in the business. Innotech is the manufacturer of sophisticated performance exhaust systems specially designed for super cars such as Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, and many others, and yes, BMW as well.
Innotech’s valvetronic technology offers a sophisticated performance exhaust system that delivers both power and dynamic valve control to the driver’s seat. The full system includes the remote capability to command three different modes: open, closed, and auto. All three modes combine the electronic adjustment of the exhaust system by varying the settings according to the amount of fuel going into the engine, thus creating the optimum sound based on that. This means when the throttle is pushed down, depending on the setting, the sound remains either low or high, creating a comfortable ride when needed, but opening it up for a nice roar from the exhaust when the pedal is pushed properly.
Furthermore, the muffler internals were individually designed and produced for each different car in order to work well with the Valvetronic technology. With this exhaust system installed together with the Manhart Tuning Box the M4 now delivers 575bhp and 829lb-ft of torque with this system, a hefty upgrade over the 420 horsepower found in the stock vehicle. Grab a few moments and watch the video below to get the full idea how well this BMW M4 sounds with the Innotech Performance Exhaust System installed.
