March 23 marks the start of the MotoGP season, kicking off in Qatar for the first race of the season. With the start of a new season, fans will see the debut of the BMW M4 as the series’ safety car for the 2014 season.

Beyond having the all-new F82 M4 as the safety car, the official safety car will come equipped with a host M Performance upgrades to compliment the already aggressive performance and design of BMW M GmbH’s latest offerings. Fans can expect to see the M4 MotoGP Safety Car sporting:

Front splitter with blade
Rear diffuser
Carbon rear spoiler
Carbon mirror caps
Side skirts
Alcantara M Performance steering wheel with race display
Area around the lever is made of carbon and Alcantara
