Each year Villa d’Este near lake Como, Italy is home to the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, an event that combines the automobile history with the future of exclusive sport cars and concepts.

A tradition since the past year is for BMW to reveal a new, emotional concept at the glamorous event and this year makes no exception. Milanese coachbuilder Zagato teamed up with BMW to create the Zagato Coupe, a one-off model that is product of many hours of skilled hand-craftsmanship and breathes new life into the tradition of coach building. At Lake Como, BMW’s Chief Designer Adrian Van Hooydonk was accompanied by Andrea Zagato and Zagato chief designer Norihiko Harada to introduce their joint creation.

Zagato has worked in close collaboration to create an exciting and emotionally charged coupé in the finest tradition of automotive workmanship. The BMW Zagato Coupé embodies the unbridled fascination of cars and fuses the design DNA of the two companies into a fresh and distinctive whole. This one-off model is the product of many hours of skilled hand-craftsmanship and breathes new life into the tradition of coach building.
