Miami based tuning shop, Active Autowerke, reveals their own “pimped out” version of the popular, gorgeous and fast, BMW M3 E92 Coupe. Among other things, Active Autowerke is an exclusive BMW Distributor for ADV 1Wheel line, the high performance wheels seen also on other modded BMWs.

ADV.1 wheels are built for high performance applications, with a 3 piece and 1 piece forged lineup, each with several new styles. Each wheel is meticulously built to order with specific wheel offsets, hubcentric centerbore, and custom finishes. These wheels all focus around a new concave forging profile developed by ADV.1. They feature a deep concave center disc or face which gives an aggressive look an still maintains a strong and lightweight wheel for both street and race applications.

Along with the performance wheels upgrade, Active Autowerke M3 gets a series of other upgrades, from exterior carbon fiber parts, to exhaust system and power upgrades.

aa6 655x436The original 414 horsepower coming from the naturally aspirated, high revving 4-liter V8 engine, has been upped by 45 extra ponies. The torque numbers have also increasd by 30 ft-lbs to a total of 330 lb-ft.

No pricing has been announced at this time, but hopefully it won’t break the bank.

    gorgeous car.. it is 1SICK M3! …. i love the wheels a lot. and a big thing for me is that they’re easy to clean! i’ve got mesh wheels which look nice but are a pain to clean

    I do not like the wheels at all, i LOVE the M3 19inch wheels that BMW offers, they are hot.

    I love the complete look of the car, the wheels are definitely unique. The complete look says M3 and not too much bling.. car must sound amazing and pull like a train with those upgrades!

    I’m really curious what the gains are for the individual parts. Because the whole kit includes an ECU upgrade, it’s hard to tell because that would normally deliver most of the results.

    For example, they could measure power/torque difference at the wheel, or in actual road performance difference (weight savings, handling).

    I’m particularly interested in the difference a “high performance wheel” makes, because wheel manufacturers never publish useful weight specs, in overall weight and distribution of weight between hub and rim.

    The car looks awesome, but I do have to say that there’s not much unique about it.
    ADV.1 really just took an “older style” and made it new again. That wheel looks just like the MVR Magnum that has been around for over 10 years. I applaud the forged construction and weight savings, but other than that, this look has been around since the 90’s.

    Are those cutouts just before the muffler? Are they valved?

    The cutouts you are referring to are Noise Cancellation Chambers. The factory E9X M3 Mufflers actually have these built into the muffler to reduce/eliminate drone. Through engineering and other R&D AA decided it was necessary to have these incorporated into the system.
