The moment BMW released the photos of the tii model, a 1 Series model featuring several BMW performance parts, the bimmer community has gone nuts. Many people were inquiring about the possibility of a mass-production tii.
When BMW unveiled the BMW 1 Series tii for the first time in the U.S at the Chicago Auto Show, most of the BMW hardcore fans were sold on it. The display model looked absolutely gorgeous, sporting many carbon fiber elements and the amazing Alpine White color. A few months later, BMW decided to give a green light to 1 Series tii and even potentially a 3 Series version.
But things have been quiet since then and while we heard many other rumors regarding the tii, no extra information were released to us. This morning, our friends from TeamSpeed had a surprise for us. They came across a BMW tii replica being sold on eBay.
Classic BMW, a dealership based out of Dallas, TX, were the ones “responsible” for this auction and here is what the eBay description was:
We took a stock 2008 BMW 135i Coupe, which is already an amazing vehicle – jump into this BMW, start up the 3.0l TWIN-TURBO motor – and soon you will find yourself cruising down the road with 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque all begging to be released!
And turned it into a very unique, powerful, handling – one of a kind Ultimate Driving Machine! All installed options are BMW Performance parts – carrying full BMW warranty.
Upgraded options as follows: Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler, Carbon Fiber Mirror Covers, Performance Steering Wheel, Lower Rear Carbon Fiber Difuser, Retrofit Front Suspension, Performance Exhaust System, Carbon Fiber Strut Brace, Wheel and Tire Kit, BMW Performance cross-drilled rotors with Brembo Brakes, Aluminum Pedel Set, Aluminum Footrest, Custom Paint, Ceramic Window Tint and so much more – see attached photo for installed options – ALL of this is over and above the factory options on this vehicle – Premium Package, Sport Pacakge, Active Steering, Black Trim, Premium Hi-Fi Sound System Lumbar Seats, and so much more!!!!
I honestly applaud their innitiative and it shows that some dealers can think outside the box and come up with interesting cars to sale, rather than the factory stock ones. Of course, the price is set accordingly and at the time we wrote the article, the price was set at $40,000, with the reserve not being met yet.
