About me: Hello, I'm 21 years old, I'm Italian and, of course, I'm a bimmer :) I am graduating (or trying to) as a mechanical engineer here in Bergamo, the city where I live, I like soccer and computer, I love cars and everything that is car related. My first, and since now only, car was a BMW E34 520i, in my opinion one of the greatests BMW car ever made, still solid and good looking even now; my brother owns a 120d 3 doors hatchback version with M Pack, 18" rims and other stuff... what a car, what an engine!! Lovely, lovely :) And for the future? Well... who knows... Now I'm dreaming on a just restyled 320i, I hope the dream will become true!! Bellissima, bellissima... E per il futuro? Per ora sto sognando una appena restylizzata 320i con pacchetto M, sperando che il sogno diventi realtà a breve!! Ciao!

Thank you Horatiu!!!!! :) It’s a real pleasure to be a member of the BMWBlog team, and I’m sorry I can’t write as much as you or other contributors do, but university, family, life… they take so much time!!

Anyway BMW has always been in my heart, I’ve the pleasure to drive one of these Cars, I’ve the pleasure to be part of this fantastic world, and within this world BMWBlog.com is like a landmark, the website you MUST see to get all the latest news on your favourite car maker, a place where you can speak freely to other people who share your passion for car.

Is Audi one step ahead of BMW with new S4 and RS6?

Sry jordan I didn’t mean to say it’s a sedan, of course I know it’s a coupe…

I agree with Benny saying that Nissan would sell the GTR at the same price of the GT2 if that would be possibile, it’s true of course. But if you think about having not all the money you want, but “just” 90k €, and you’d want a sporty car, the GTR should be your choice.

I agree with you, if I had 200k € to spend for a car I’d not buy the nissan gtr, but you have to admit that for 90k€ that is an impressive performancing car

Adood here we are talking about S4, rs6, rs4, s6 and so on, all QUATTRO car, so the battle is between rear wheel driven and all wheel drive, and everyone must say that 4WD is better, you can use more bhp and turn better on every track with a 4wd car. Look at the amazing Nissan GT-R on the track against other 2WD car and you’ll see it.

Oh the weight right, well the 335d wheighs 1665kg, the 335i 1610, of course we’re talking about sedan version. This weight is referred to a base version car, no optional included, with 90% filled fuel tank, 68Kg for the driver and 7Kg in the trunk. Official BMW Italy technical data.

Test Drive: BMW 330d

Well I have to say that I was confused like you in the period of time while my brother was thinking to buy his new car (120d), because the official 0-60 time on that car is 7.7 seconds, but many media tests said 7.36-7.4.

I have figured out one reason for this; BMW makes a lot of car, think for a second you buy a 330d. You try it on a 0-60 shoot and get a 5.9 seconds time, while the car specifications say 5.7-5.8. If I were in you, I’d be pissed off :) How can I pay a lot of money for a car that should do 5.7 and I get “just” 5.9?

Well, think now the opposite, you buy an official 6.1 car, you test it and get a 5.8 time… WOW!! You’re happy right? Well I guess BMW official times are a bit higher than the real ones, that’s to avoid some annoying argument with unsatisfied customer, or at least that’s what i guess.

Anyway the 6.1 time refers to a 0-100 km/h, wich is not 0-60 mph, but 0-62, but I don’t think 2mph value more than some cent of a second.

about hte mileage, yeah the car is tested with EU standars, I don’t know what’s the difference between EU and EPA standards, it is possibille there is a little difference. Anyway bmw diesel are really incredibly efficient, trust me, I see this with my brothers 120d.

Well, the sound tastes are personal :) Anyway of course I prefer petrol engine sound, it’s just a simphony, nothing can match that sound, but I think BMW diesel engines have an impressive sporty sound compared to other diesel engine.

The rear, side, 3/4 views are GREAT in my opinion, but I really can’t stand those rims and that front bumper…
